Privacy

How private is your Facebook? You may think it is a steel vault and no one can get into to it that you don’t want to, but that is not true. Anyone can see anyone’s Facebook now a day. Everyone thinks that just because you set all the settings on Facebook to private, that means only people you are friends with can see your profile. However, this is not the case. Ever since Facebook established its privacy capabilities, people have been creating ways to get around it. A study shows that women are more likely to set their privacy to the highest setting, its 67% for women vs. 48% for men (Madden).  There are many websites solely dedicated to hacking into to other people’s pages, it doesn’t even matter if the highest privacy setting is on or not. The best way to not let people see your private information is just to not share it at all (Pirillo).
